GCSE english grade 5

With my grade 5 English GCSE, many universities need English language grade 6. So should i retake? or will the university make an exception?As English is m second language. thanks

Im not sure what kind of unis you are thinking of but if it’s London unis or Russel group then i highly recommend you to retake however if you are able to get a contextual offer it may not be emphasised as much. Either way i think it would be best to retake

I had an online tutor which was actually a send from god. Im not sure if i should give her details on here but i can send on email if you’d like?? BTW she is rly good like i went from a 3 in my first mock to a 9 in my actual gcse

Using no experience and strictly speaking logically, if you smash your A levels, they’d probably make an exception. But u have to be sure about A levels and work extra hard. U might waste your time if u get 5 again next year. Idk how retakes work tho so idk but if you’re talking about going to college for another year and retaking english then plz dont
