Can i get into ucl or kcl with these gsce results

I just got my gsce grades back and was wondering if my grades would lessen my chances at going to kcl or ucl. My grades were

English lang - 5
English lit - 6
Maths - 7
Science - 6-7
French - 4
Sociology - 5
RE - 7
Business - 5
Geography - 5

I had higher gcse grades than and UCL said they were too low but i got into kings. I applied for an integrated masters course at UCL though so you may still have a chance for a regular BA/BSc but maybe not for highly competitive courses like med or law or popular courses like psych
Probably depends what course you're applying to. Check to make sure you'll meet any minimum requirements for maths and English language though!

UCL medicine doesn't consider GCSE grades other than requiring minimum grades in maths and English language (which are required for all courses).

No worries my grades were
Graphics-9
Science-7,6
Business-7
Dance-7
RE-7
English lang-7
Maths-6
French-6
English lit-5
I think that’s all but it will depend on your course how strict they are w english and maths i met my courses requirements for them but was till rejected from Ucl for my GCSEs being low. But ur a level choices are important for me applying psych they wanted one preferably two stem subjects and i only had psych and that was another reason so perhaps with ideal a levels you would get in. As for KCL I’m starting in September we have different GCSEs grades but with good a level predicted it definitely possible

Yes.

1.

You need atleast a grade 6 in english language for both UCL and KCL.

2.

You have got 0 A*s, thats 40 points down for KCL already.

3.

Even if you're UCAT is par, they'll be others with much much better grades.

4.

You did double science and got a 7-6, which puts you at a major disadvantage compared to people doing triple science and achieving straight 9s.

So good luck, if you were to apply. Personally, it's a waste of an application.

ignore them, they are just chattin s***. put your head down, focus on your a levels rn to get up your predicted grades, perfect your personal statement/whatever the universities decide to put on for this year and you're calm for king's. ucl; maybe, they are more picky on even things besides grades, but it's always possible. ik there's some guy on yt who even resat over 2 gap years, his name is sarmad khan and they got BCD in 2019, retook two a levels in 2020, retook the last a level in 2021, but got an offer with a level resits at ucl (and it was for ppe, a competitive course). so don't worry about your gcses alr, they are fine. it also depends what course you intend to do still, but work hard on your a levels fr alr, bless up man
