I plan on studying engineering at universities like Imperial, UCL, Durham but when i got my predicted grades i was given a C in maths. I honestly will put the work it and try my hardest to get an A (hopefully A*) but how am i even going to get an offer if I'm predicted a C. Seriouslly help me

Look at other unis with a year in industry - Brookes would be a good choice with brand new facilities. Durham isn't known for Engineeing btw.

You won't get an offer if you are predicted a C. You need to get that increased, so have a talk with your teacher to ask them what you need to do to get it moved up, this might include extra work or another mock test or something.

Why? Bath is not RG and it's far better than Durham. RG is totally irrelevant for engineering - one of my students at Brookes beat a Cambridge grad to a top job this year ...

oh really? at school they make it seem like you only get considered for jobs if you went to a russel group. So what other schools do you reccommend to apply? I already had a very limited choice because I don't do physics and only some unis allow engineering without it (id be applying for biomedical engineerinf btw)

I'm a bit concerned that you don't take physics but you want to apply to imperial etc...

Imperial asks for at least an A in Physics

I'd be applying for design engineering at imperial. Not many univerisities offered that so i just chose biomedical for all the others bc I had a summer school related to it and it was really interesting however i've always wanted to get into design engineering/product design type stuff

I'm a maths teacher and can assure you that RG uni are mostly hype. What empoyers want is a good degree and someone who can actually do the job! Hence the year in industry being so useful.

Which A levels are you studying?
