opinions on woodhouse college from someone who goes/went there?

woodhouse wasn't my first choice but i'm now hopefully trying to enrol there for september as my first choice didn't work out as planned. is the school any good? like how are the teachers, the environment and will it be easy to adjust to? the campus looks so big and i'm from a completely different borough so i'm just wondering if ill make any friends at all 😭 honest opinions about the place would be really helpful (btw i've chosen bio chem and history as my alevel options)

Yes I did I got 9s on both of them
im going into y13 and i love woodhouse, all my teachers are so nice and the environment is great its much more like uni than secondary school but you're not completely independent so help is there if u need it
i was worried abt making friends as well but theres so many people that it was so easy and they do lots of stuff to help you get to know people
if u have any other questions lmk

also some things i wish i knew when i first started
starting from november i think? you have to pick an extracurricular thing (unless you do 4 alevels or have a part time job) which u do every wednesday, some of them are like yoga or a music sharing club and then theres like more academic ones so its not that bad and it ends in april
and also every week u have supervised study where u just do work for an hour but after the january mocks you get taken off it if your attendance & grades are good enough

oh yea i’ve heard!! i’ve got my timetable tho and don’t see any supervised study do u think they’ll add it in once people have adjusted? i’ve got one question too do they check the transition work😭 i’m hoping they’re not too strict about that

thats the one thing i hate abt skl the food is not as good and so overpriced ugh and its the same thing evrryday i literally only get the chocolate muffins, curly fries and cookies theyre god sent. But for lunch literally most of the skl goes to north finchley town and theres like a lot of food shops to choose from.

for me they didnt check transition work and if they asked my excuse was that “i got in last minute so i never knew there was transition work”.

they add it in after like a week or two i think. and the transition work i think some teachers check but it’s not that deep so don’t worry if you haven’t done it all, none of my teachers even mentioned ot
