Failing Modules
I suffer from severe mental health problems and have found first year at Cardiff Uni difficult and I Failed 2/6 modules so I resat them this august and got 62+35 and the 2nd module I got 52+38 however they have been capped to 40 as they are resits and my 2 highest grades resulting in me failing as ive had total 34 marks removed! I have 39% and 38% in both modules and I cannot start 2nd year as a result until these 2 are passed. I spoke to a woman from the student help and she said I have to redo these modules Alone so basically resit them from October to December only 60 odd days then wait until next September to start 2nd year and do Nothing for 9 months. Can this 1% and 2% failing be under a sort of extenuating circumstance as ive struggled with health all throughout the year and received well over the grade I was just capped by 34 marks being taken , can anyone help?
