can i do pharmacy with biology, chemistry, and psychology?
im so confused because most universities are saying chemistry and one further rigorous subject or one further science? does the 3rd alevel not matter at all?
do you think i should switch psychology to maths instead? i got an A* in maths for gcse (8)? please reply ASAP because i am starting sixth form next month and i need to email if i should… i really want to do pharmacy!

I did chem, Biology and Psychology, got 5 offers post interview for pharmacy and got into my first choice University. You do not need maths. Psychology is perfect.

if u dont me asking, what univerisities did u apply to? i want to go to UCL but im so confused on what they want to ask. do most unis not care about the third option?

Unless you're going to Cambridge (for some courses), the third option usually doesn't matter.

I did Nottingham, Birmingham, Lincoln, Liverpool JM and DMU.
The third A level choice doesn't matter. Pharmacy is mainly about chemistry.

i’m going to ucl this september for pharm and i did bio chem psych, u just need to do well in the entrance exam and interview, and meet the entry reqs on results day, 3rd subject does not matter!!

when u apply to ucl they give u an entrance exam you have to do well in to pass onto the interview stage, it’s all on their website

If you look at different university entry requirements it tells you what’s subjects they accept and grades. I did maths but I know a lot of people did chemistry maths and art or like music. Some people didn’t do biology but I think they did regret that due to how much anatomy you kind of learn in A-levels which helps bridge in uni. I honestly advise you look at the entry requirements of the uni you would like to go to.

UCL is the only Uni who do this - they use it to cut down the number of viable applications.
Apply somewhere like Bath - they interview everyone who meets the entry requirements, and make offers to 99% of those they interview. They don't set daft entrance tests - and you'll be treated like you actually matter to them once you are a student there.
