Science: cognito, seneca, yt videos

English: mr everything English (yt), mr salles (yt), reading ur texts, use PEEL paragraphs, seneca

Maths: maths genie (web), corbett maths (web), (idk if gcses but) TL maths and bicen maths (yt)

Geography: seneca

French: quizlet (my school head of department made quizlet stuff for Edexcel, search "siafrate", the user with white background + colourful stuff pfp)

Business: seneca, i guess?

FM: im guessing it helps with building bridge to a level maths? if so, watch tl maths and bicen maths, Jethwa maths for a level content (web)

idk abt dance

EVERYTHING: make sure u do past papers n mark them, and identify the weak points and then concentrate on the weak areas, whether that's reading over notes, going thru textbooks or doing questions on that topic

I got 9 in chemistry and another subject you're not doing - for chemistry doing Seneca and practicing questions lots helped me as I was actively going over content. Also watch YouTube videos about required practicals and practice 6 markers, and learn the equations for quantitive chemistry.

and for sciences I did 1 past paper every week - helps because you can target your weaknesses, and look at mark schemes (especially for biology which is very specific) so you know exactly how to answer questions which are often 'recycled' in the exams.

(BTW I got 9 in Chemistry, 8 in Physics and was a few marks of 8 in Biology, but I literally revised Biology the night before and did not do much Physics revision)
All 9s is achievable and is easier than most people think if you do revision 'little and often' and start at the start of year 11 - don't leave it to just the easter holidays like I did !!

as a year 11 who recently got all 9s please start doing your revision early!

you don't have to do a lot but by exam season i didn't have to do like 7 hours of studying in a day and it really cleared up my schedule so i could focus on my individual subjects

for maths/further maths: past papers + practice questions are your best friend! i even looked for the old syllabus 2016 past papers for further maths and it really helped considering this year's paper 1 was terrifying... also flashcards (for me) do nothing

for bio/chem/physics: past papers again but when marking you need to review the mark scheme. LIKE THOROUGHLY. you have to think like the examiner because there are certain points you will get marks for and pure waffle doesn't really help. also print off the specification and base ur revision from there

english lit: this was my worst subject yet...plz memorize ur poems beforehand unlike me because i crammed my revision a day before the exam and i got lucky because the poem i studied hardest for came up

i got all 8/9 but ill only go into detail for science because thats the only exam board we share, i got a 9 in every science btw:smile:

please make flashcards, i recommend cognito, watch a video, take notes, do the quiz afterwards, make flashcards for notes. this was mainly what i did, (can also use freesciencelessons, cognito forgets some stuff) and past papers are your biggest friend, especially bio, memorise the markscheme, find words they always require and after doing every past paper available youll notice recurring questions, so remember the structure for the answer!!
