What should I do with my A-Levels to get into Cambridge or Oxford?

Hi there!
Last year I was doing year 12 and got BMO Round 2 certificate of merit and won some Ukrainian math olympiads. This year I applied to Oxford for CS and was rejected. Additionally, I messed up my a-levels with A*AB(maths, physics, further maths).
Now I am taking a gap year and have several choices
1. Retake a-levels(should I retake all or just further maths?) and apply for Cambridge or Oxford maths or physics/engineering
2. Retake and try law
What can you recommend? Also I checked acceptance rates and it is higher for Cambridge maths rather than Oxford so i think i should apply there

cambridge acceptance rate is only higher because of the fact that they give double the offers than they have places. they expect half of offer holders to miss the STEP requirement of their offer. if you feel confident that you can crack the STEP, cambridge maths is a good choice.
if you want to do maths/CS/physics/engineering at oxbridge, a B in further maths will certainly be detrimental. from the fact that you got a merit in BMO2 and won the Ukrainian maths olympiad, you're clearly very capable, and perhaps with a bit more work you can certainly get an A* in further maths. an A in physics is not too bad if you want to do maths/CS but if you want to do physics/engineering i'd perhaps resit

thank you very much! I will resit further maths for sure. But should I retake all the subjects or just further maths? I think I can also study smth like Economics on my own

You need to decide which degree you are aiming for and not focus just on Oxbridge!

A-Level Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Economics at A*A*AA or more would make you a strong applicant for Engineering at Cambridge.
