One mark off PASSING

The sixth form I want to go to says that their requirements for the courses I want are :
-a 5 in either English
-4 in maths
-5 overall GCSEs at a grade 4 and above

I got my results today and I got a 5 in both English language and literature and have more than 5 GCSE’s at a grade 5 and above but I WAS 1 MARK AWAY FROM PASSNG MATHS

My school said they’d send it for a remark but I’m really worried I won’t be let into the Sixthform even more so because I’m applying after results day because I can’t go to my first choice

Do you think id still be let in to do levels?? Im stressing😭

Whether the sixth form to which you're applying let's you in or not likely comes down to numbers. If they have more applicants who have met their requirements than they have places, then your chances are not good. If, however, they have spaces left then your chances would be better.

Note that in 2022 (the last year for which I've seen data published), a Review of Marking for a GCSE paper went up by at least 1 mark 22.6% of the time. So there's a better than 1 in 5 chance that you'll get the Maths grade you need anyway. :crossedf:
