Which uni is better for PGCE Primary course

I am conflicted between St Mary’s University where I got an offer and with Roehampton my old uni. Which uni is better in your opinion?

What does "better" mean? If you come out with QTS and a PGCE at either then you will be qualified to apply for roles in schools. I am not really sure why any employer in their right mind would turn down an application simply because of where someone studied. This concept is a myth yet undergrads seem to feel that prestige is everything. It is nothing.

Good luck!

I believe St Mary’s is better, since they’re ranked higher for student experience and teaching. They’re also well known for their teaching degrees compared to Roehampton

Hi @zoekrock,

Roehampton is a great option for PGCE Primary! Ofsted rates our primary age courses as "Outstanding" and you will undergo 20 weeks school placement, providing you with hands on experience, giving you the confidence for your future career.

We would love to welcome you back to continue your studies! If you have any questions, I am happy to answer them for you!
