Are my GCSE's good enough or shall I change career paths?

I want to be a doctor and study medicine in university. I hoped to get higher grades for my GCSEs but I ended up getting 988777776 and I know to some it may look like really good GCSEs but to me I expected mostly 9s and 8s and not many 7s. I also got a 7-7 in combined science when I was expecting 9-8 as I was averaging a 9-8 in Year 11. I want to go to King's College London or UCL as those two have been my dream Universities and I don't plan on leaving London for my education. Should I change career paths now or is there still a good chance I can get in to UCL or King's with those grades?
stick to your career path. these are good gcses as you have many gcses at grades 7-9. work hard in your a levels.

What A-Levels are you planning to do and at what 6form, apart from chem + bio ofc... Those are decent enough grades to study for the med alevels at most 6forms unless ur planning on applying to rly competitive unis (like on average oxford applicants have 8.5 passes at grade 8/9), but those unis u mentioned dont look much into gcses as much as oxbridge, with ucat scores being much more important.
Any tips for going into y11 as I hope on doing medicine too at a london uni, my y10 mock grades: 887777666 (btw these might seem rly low but that's bc i was doing further maths too, i only scraped a pass in that sadly, eventho i got g8 in the mocks ☹️). I finally found someone w/ a similar path to uni lol. Btw I'm sure ull be fine, as long as u get the required alevel grades and score high in the ucat, dw 🙂

Those grades are really good for year 10! I went from a 776666552 in year 10 to a 988777776 in year 11!! Im sure since your grades are already pretty high you can achieve majority 8s and 9s by year 11 ) Keep on top of your work and use your holidays to ur advantage! If u want specific subject advice just ask
Just remember you can always study here in the EU if all else fails so don't worry

Tysm for the reply, it made my day I do hope I can increase by 1-2 grades across my subjects but I've heard the grade boundaries are rly high bc its returning to pre-covid times...for subjects like chem no matter how well i understand the content, when it comes to exams i get low bc i dont use the keywords (hence the g6). And for essay based ones like history/english, i end up running out of time bc i dont want to miss out anything in the structured answers. If u did those at gcse, do u have tips? Also MFL:frown:
