A level retake information and advice

Hello, so after achieving A*AB in my A levels, I have decided to retake A level maths (the B grade) so I can reapply to my dream uni Bath next year. My insurance was Bristol but after visiting I really cannot see myself there, and know for a fact Bath is right for me. I had always been hoping to go to Bath, together with my best friend, but results day ruined that plan. Also shout out to edexcel for giving us the highest grade boundaries ever, I'd have my A any other year.

So i'd really appreciate some information about retaking an A level privately, as my sixth form college does not accept retake students. If anyone has gone through the retake process privately, I'd love for some guidance/advice, especially:

1. How would i go through ucas in general, with predicted grades, reference etc, this is the biggest source of anxiety for me as I really know nothing (never thought i'd have to retake)
2. How was your mental health during the year, most people I know will be off to uni so I am anticipating being quite lonely at home, hopefully getting a part time job will help with this.
3. What are the general risks of retaking, the only one I can think of is of course I could not get an offer from Bath next year.

Anyway thanks for taking the time to read
