a level options help

is biology , psychology , sociology a good a level combination? i feel like it is but i also feel like psychology and sociology are a bit similar and i don’t know if universities prefer a wide range of subjects ?

would do you guys think ? should i swap sociology or is it fine (i get 9s consistently everytime i do sociology so i feel like it’s smart to continue it for a level if im good) because biology and psychology are 100% staying i just don’t know what to do for my 3rd option .

also with those a level options what career would you guys reccomend i dive into ??? i have an interest in psychology and learning about people but i also want to try get into a career somewhat healthcare related (if possible)

thanks !!!

The best way to establish what universities like and don't like in terms of subjects is to check the web page for a degree course you might be interested in at a university you might be interested in attending.

They tend to either specify grades (with no regard for subject) or specify a single required subject (e.g. Biology if you want to do some a degree in that field) and just specify grades for the other two. You'll sometimes see much more detailed subject requirements, but they're the exception.

I don't recall ever have seen a set of entry requirements (and I've looked at a lot) which said that they won't accept Psychology and Sociology together.

im in the same position as u lol
You should be fine with taking this combination, any ideas of what you want to study at uni @student921kz and @garciauegz ? The main thing with a levels is to keep options in things you want to peruse open for the future and make sure your subjects are ones you’ll enjoy and be able to succeed in

Yes, I would say so. It means you have options in a lot of humanities based degrees like law and also in science based degrees. Maybe have a little look through the degree guides on the uniguide if you have time in the near future and see what kind of areas interest you? Btw if you do decide to do that then keep in mind that the requirements they show on the course guides are frequently inaccurate so i would suggest scrolling down and looking at examples of degrees which all have listed requirements on there! I wish you the best of luck with your studies
