Can I switch from a Meng to a BSc (Hons) Computer Science course at Southampton?

Hi,
I am glad to have been accepted to study Computer Science (MEng) at the University of Southampton this year!
To plan for the future, I am researching what options I have regarding pursuing a Masters degree at another institution later down the line. I found online that you are able to revert your course to a 3 year track at any point (up to the end of the 2nd year), however I am wondering whether this new track will also allow me to achieve an honours degree at all.
Has anyone here tried something similar to my case? Is this possible?

Yes, it will. From the Course Description Document for Computer Science (MEng):

"If you successfully complete three full parts of study, you may graduate with an honours degree: BSc (hons) or BEng (hons)."

First of all, well done for getting a place to study computer science at Southampton. To answer your question, I recommend emailing your department about the matter but as far as I know you can decide whether you want do integrated masters or not until the end of second year as long as there is space available but again it would be best to email the department. Again, thank you for choosing Southampton for your studies. I hope you have a great time here and cant wait to welcome you here.

I'm Joshua, I'm currently studying MEng Computer Science right now actually, I'm about to start my third year.

Like DataVenia found, yep you will be able to switch and still get a BSc Hons after your third year if that's what you choose to do.
