Third A-level option

So I want to do physics at uni, maybe become an astrophysicist or a physics teacher. Anyway, so im going into Sixth Form and i've already chosen maths and physics as options, but im really stuck for my third option. I picked geography when i applied to my sixth form but i can still change it. My friends are telling me to pick further maths because it will help me for university physics, but im still a bit unsure.

I think Further Maths would be the best choice here, as your friends suggested, as it has a Mechanics module which is useful to know. It also appeals to Unis more, and is generally the combination that most people looking to study Physics at Uni have done.

I'm a cosmologist (did astrophysics at uni) and my A Levels were Maths, Physics and Music. I started off with Further Maths too but dropped it due to stress. It was not relevant for uni admissions and I learnt all the maths I needed at uni anyway. So my advice is to choose a 3rd subject you will enjoy and can relax a bit with.

Id pick further maths.
I did geography myself and loved it. But further maths is more useful for the course you want to do.

I’d recommend either taking Further maths since it links well with physics and maths A-level. Or, perhaps take an essay based subjects to show universities that you are a well rounded student, and has a wide range of interests. So, History, Politics, English etc-. However, if these subjects aren’t your thing then stick with further maths.

Hope this helps!
