Personal Statement help!

I am looking to apply starting 25/26 and want to apply to veterinary medicine however as my backup course want to apply to chemistry. How can i model my personal statement to cover both subjects as i am aware they are quite different!

I wouldn't recommend doing this. I'd instead focus on veterinary medicine for all your choices, and then, if you do not get on to a course, to apply to a chemistry course through clearing. Chemistry is often found on clearing choices for many universities, whereas veterinary medicine is not!

Vetmed (like medicine and dentistry) can't apply to 5 of the same courses on UCAS, precisely due to the competitive aspect. That's why they need a back up course.

Lancaster or Liverpool

Email Lancaster & Liverpool to see if they will accept a supplementary PS because you're a vet med applicant using their institution as a back up choice for chemistry. Then (if they say yes), you'd write 2 statements, one for vetmed that goes on UCAS and one for chemistry that you'd send direct to that uni.
