Adult Nursing with Registered Nurse Status MSc Funding

Hello,

I've recently been offered a place (conditional but have all required) at University of Liverpool to do the Adult Nursing with Registered Nurse Status MSc starting in January 2025.

I'm just checking I can apply for undergraduate funding for this 2 year course as apposed to postgraduate funding and that it is still exempt (ie allowed another loan as Nursing).

Thank you 😊

Hi Geri,

Yes, that's right - this course attracts undergraduate funding. So, you can apply to us for the Tuition Fee and Maintenance Loan, plus grants if applicable.

Thanks, Graeme

Thank you 😊 🙏 I'm currently paying sfe for my previous UG and overpayment on an msc and the actual fees for msc I was on for 2 months. Will this affect it?

Also is this correct that SFE are taking payment for previous degree and msc at sane time out my wages? I'm also paying sfe directly 50 a month for overpayment.

Having previous loans doesn't affect you, that's okay.

Just to confirm, has it been at least a year since your previous course finished?

Thanks, Graeme

I left MSc in Strategic Communications at Liverpool in September/October 2023. I left because of personal reasons at time my husband was extremely ill and his prognosis at time wasn't great so I had to leave to be a carer at that time.

Hi Geri,

If you left the course in September/October 2023 then you would have entered repayments in April 2024 so you should be paying back the loan if your are making over the threshold.

Thanks, Drew

Thanks Drew,

🙂 as long as it doesn't affect my applying for Nursing Msc (undergraduate funding as 2 years and exemption) 😊

Hi Geri,

No this would not affect you applying for your nursing course.

Thanks, Drew
