Help don’t know what course to study

1-business management (digital business) at Westminster
2- international business management top up at london metropolitan
3- accounting and finance top up at bloomsbury institute I'm interested in all of these courses but would appreciate some insights from anyone who has taken them or something similar. Specifically, I'm curious about the career prospects, salary expectations, and how easy it is to secure a job after graduation. This will be my final year to complete my BA, so any advice would be valuable!

Hi! I know your post was from a little while ago, but I thought I would share my experience as a current London Met student in case it is still useful.

I have not taken the exact top-up course you mentioned, but I can say that London Met offers strong support for international business and management students. The university is really focused on employability, so you will find a lot of career workshops, networking events, and opportunities to connect with professionals while you study. They also have a careers service that helps with CVs, interview prep, and finding placements or graduate jobs, which many students find really useful.

In terms of career prospects, international business management can open doors in a range of sectors like marketing, finance, logistics, and consultancy, both in the UK and abroad. Salaries vary depending on the role and company, but having a degree from a London-based uni definitely helps with access to job opportunities. A lot of students also pick up part-time roles or internships during their course, which really helps build experience.

If you are still deciding or have already started your course, I wish you the best of luck! And if you have any other questions about London Met or student life here, feel free to drop me a message anytime.

Hi @iamtheprincet ,

I'd love to give my insight on this an a business and management student.

When it comes to career prospects, I've noticed there is an abundance of graduate schemes to apply, especially due to the flexibility of the skills taught within the course. However making the right choice here depends on what you wish to pursue once your finished with university.

I'd recommend doing some research on website where graduate schemes are commonly advertised. For example "Handshake" or "RateMyPlacement" are two great options. They often include what salary you should be expected too! Additionally, I recommend researching into companies that directly advertise their graduate schemes on their websites. For example, Aldi have some fantastic graduate schemes with an extremely competitive salary!

You could also look into stories from the universities alumni that the university may include on their website! This can allow you to see what they may be doing now. Additionally, you may wish to check out Linkdin and see students who are within the university network and what employment they may be in. This is just to get a general idea of the types of career prospects.

The best option is to contact tutors part of the business schools at the universities, personally I did this through email to ask all my burning questions.

I hope this helps, please feel free to ask me any questions,
-Sophia (University of Central Lancashire)
