Do u have to go to all lectures? BCU or any other uni

I’m starting this September and I’m commuting so although I will probably try to go to all specially in the start do I have to be there like compulsory? I know u don’t definitely have too but is it better to go or not bcc honestly as I’m commuting I’ll probably end up spending the whole day over there as it’s easier to study for me not at home and it’s an hours trip

Hi @lainey123

You're right - it's always best to try and go to all of your scheduled lectures. There may be times when you can't make your lectures and it's okay if you can't. Just remember to keep your attendance up to date by logging your absences. At BCU you can do this through the My SRS portal, which you'll be able to access with your university log in. In the event of lots of absences/lower attendance, the university will usually get in touch with you to discuss improving your attendance.

You could use your days on campus to your advantage, and when you have to spend longer days at uni, you could try and keep up with your assignments so that when you go home, you have less to do.

Here's the attendance policy if this helps: https://bcuassets.blob.core.windows.net/docs/csu2024319-attendance-policy-133689010589377061.pdf

Hope this helps. 🙂
