A level Physics

I picked Maths Physics and business for my A levels im worried that Physics might be too Hard and completely flop it, how hard is it really compared to A level Maths do you think its the hardest subject ?

I got 7-7 in combined science for Gcse (2 marks from 8-7)
It is not difficult if you love it. It is content heavy, some questions would throw you off but one can love or hate it.

I personally like it and enjoyed it a lot. If you are taking Business then you will have plenty time to revise Maths and Physics. Don't just assume it's hard because everyone was complaining this year but it wasn't that bad and the grade boundaries got adjusted accordingly.

It will help if you want to pursue Engineering in future. I would certainly rate it over Biology (too much content) and chemistry (difficult and content heavy).

It’s a very nice balance of theory application and content and my favourite science A level. The maths knowledge needed is not advanced.

As someone who does all three sciences, I don't at all think it is the hardest science, at least - there is a manageable amount of content and as long as you put the work in, you'll flourish! Personally, I find maths easier than physics, but that's only because maths has nothing/very, very little to memorise as it's mostly skill whereas physics has theory as well, but that's a given.

thanks for the advice are you 100% given equation sheets for A level physics exams even in the 2026 exams ? Because i hate memorizing stuff

You get something called a data sheet, which has the values of constants and some of the equations but I don't believe has them all. Don't worry, with practice, you'll find that you've used the equations so much you hardly need to check the data sheet!

Is there more memorisation then gcse ?

I mean, it wouldn't be an A Level if it didn't have more content than a GCSE! 😁 Yes, there are more equations and constants (which I don't think are used much at GCSE).
