Odds of getting into woodhouse?

I’m currently on the waiting list and applied to do history, english lit, and philosophy

I got the necessary grades: 7s for lit + lang, 8 for history, 9 for religious studies.

So should I just accept an offer and enrol for a different school or wait until I hear from woodhouse?

If you accept an offer from another school and enrol u can still leave if you get an offer from woodhouse. I go here and I know someone joined like 5 days in bc he got an offer. So don’t worry

English lit, maths, bio and chem - but i might drop one. Did you find it hard starting later than everyone else?

The content hasn’t really started yet so no, it’s basically all introductory lessons. I’d say that it properly starts next week as that’s when we get supervised study and the option to change our courses. However, some classes already have seating plans so it’s a bit awkward in that sense. Also there’s loads of free periods so I suggest making friends to pass the time with them since there isn’t much work to do during them currently except for maybe the transition work. Alternatively you can just leave at any point of the day as long as you don’t have a lesson. There was also a day where you could sign up to clubs and societies but I’m sure if you ask someone they’ll tell you how to get involved and join since it’s a good way to make friends. They’ll probably tell you this but when you get to college try to go to the library to sort out your email and Microsoft teams account since this is where you’ll get homework and class work uploaded. So content wise, you’re not behind but in terms of social life, maybe a bit (assuming that you don’t know anyone). Everyone’s super friendly though so it’s not a big issue. I have loads of free periods so if you need some company, let me know )

My names Dera 🙂 The school is pretty big so you probably won’t see me around but my Snapchat + Instagram is deraaa.xo2 if you have those! You can just message me when you’re in the library/around the school if you’d like! Also your first day can be a bit intimidating at first especially if you join late, I hated it for the first 2 hours but after having some lessons it was definitely better 🫶🏽

I added you on both - my snap is priya.836 and insta is priya_kgill 💕
