I'm terrified of getting rejected from my dream 6th form!

I am predicted all 7s, 8s and 9s except I am predicted a 3 in French. I really want to go to Peter Symonds College and I know that people with amazing grades usually apply there and I'm terrified that they will get accepted over me. I also know that it is a massive college and loads of people apply so I'm worried that I wont get accepted due to high competition and my 3 in French.

Just some background knowledge, I was predicted a 7 last year but I was extremely ill on the day of the French mock and so my performance was terrible.

I'm really scared, can someone please help me out? If you need any extra information please ask me
Can I just ask what courses you’re wanting to study so I can check entry requirements?
Generally sixth forms dont mind much about these things but I will check if you tell me what courses you’re hoping to do. Also you might have like an interview/meeting during the applications process where you discuss courses, aspirations and predicted grades (all the sixth forms I applied to did this) and you can mention that your predicted 3 in french was a fluke due to illness.

Thanks for the response! I want to take biology, chemistry and geography A levels. My predicted grades are 998887773 in biology, physics, chemistry, geography, english language, english literature, maths, computer science and french respectively.

Ok thanks!
For these courses you need:

4 in English

766 in Maths, Chem and Bio (any order)

4 in Geography

So as you have all of those predicted you should be absolutely fine! You’re predicted grades are amazing btw and dont worry about French as PSC doesn’t seem to care about it at all

Hi! Current psc student here in Bio & Chem, you should be just fine as long as you keep aiming high with your grades. There are many in my classes who have achieved 5s ans 6s in the sciences and they have not been declined a place.

All the best of luck!

If you don't mind me asking, what grades did you get at GCSE? Thanks!
