Resitting Alevels and Resit predicted grades

I want to resit my Alevels because I achieved grades that are below predicted grades but i believe if i want to repeat year 13 i would still have to include resit predicted grades in my UCAS. The only issue with this is i'm not certain my old sixth form would give me predicted grades that would meet the requirements of my desired universities due to my low Alevels results that didn't meet my predicted grades. So are there any alternative ways i could get predicted grades without contacting my old sixth form about it like hiring a tutor? If i hire a tutor would it be ok to just send them exam questions/papers i completed and they could mark it and decide a grade or does it need to already be marked?

At my sixth form, we have a mock in November of YR13 which is used to calculate predicted grades. So i guess you just do well in them?

Have you actually talked to your Head of Sixth or similar about reapplying through the school?
