It's always great to put yourself in a new environment and meet new people! So I'd say school 2 (as you have more chances of meeting a good friend).

However, won't there also be new people in school 1 as normally new students enter during sixth form?

yes there will be, school 1 is only like 200 people in each year tho and school 2 is like 1000. im leaning more towards school 1 as i like the smaller environment and i do have friends who i enjoy being around even though im not super close to them outside of school. i really want to learn to be comfortable alone and to stop worrying about peoples opinions of me and stop craving validation from friends.

Fair enough, plus a smaller environment means a higher span of attention from teachers as they have less students to look after/focus on.

Do what makes you feel comfortable, both options sound great anyhow!

I went to a college where I literally knew NO ONE and honestly, it felt really slow at first as I didn’t know anyone, but given time, there’s so many people I’m acquainted with now and it feels so fresh to be able to meet new people and start over if you maybe didn’t have a great experience in secondary! My opinion anyways
