Help: Lancaster Uni Parking

Hey! I’m at Lancaster uni going into my 3rd year and I’m planning on bringing my car to uni for both medical and convenience purposes. Does anyone know any way I can either park A) at the uni itself or B) in the town since my partner lives there and is eligible to get a parking permit with their property (the insurance and car is registered with me though and they aren’t involved with the car at all)

Hi!

I used to drive to the uni most days and there was always lots of parking around South West campus by Cartmel (easy to get to if you go into campus via the Hazelrigg Lane entrance). If you would rather park closer to central campus there are a few areas where students can park, however, I found they tend to fill up quickly, especially between 10:00 - 3:00! The parking zones map shows you your options for parking on campus. I would also suggest checking to see if you are eligible for a student parking permit (found on the page linked above).

I hope that helps!

Hi!

There are a lot of spaces on campus to park, especially on South West campus, but you do have to pay for parking, which I’ve heard is quite expensive if you do that every day! You may potentially be eligible for a parking permit if you need it for medical reasons and it allows you to park on South West campus!

Here is the link to the university’s parking permit page for more information: https://www.lancaster.ac.uk/sustainability/action/travel/parking/student-parking/

I hope this helps!
