Opting out of NHS Welsh Bursary

Hi guys i need some help,

Im starting Adult nursing in Cardiff University in September and wish to opt out of the NHS bursary scheme and go through full SFW. I’ve received a FRSL code & have forwarded my email to SFW opt out email.

If i am opting out of the scheme, will i receive my grant and tuition fees loans from SFW? I originally was for my old course i applied to but cause i changed it to a Medical course, i received a letter saying i'm only getting the maintenance loan. I’ve only just received my FRSL code today to opt out so i’m not sure what the process is like after? It’s bank holiday now so i doubt i’ll get a response from SFW until Tuesday.

I just need a little peace of mind as i do not want to miss any payments & receive the right payments from student finance too.

Hi, I had the same issue when I transferred, normally student finance will take the evidence and grant you maintenance and then you have to reapply for tuition, this is from my experience with SFE not SFW
