I got 866555544 in my GCSE, can I still apply to law at a good uni with those???? x
so i also had 1 8 and the rest were 7s and 6s i do think the 2 4's would potentially hold you back universities like bristol and manchester do look at GCSES im also applying for law going into y13 now i would advise you that you have now limited your options in terms of universities such as Oxbridge and definitely Ldn ones that look at GCSES i'd say you now need to do well in your a levels and you have to make sure they are as academically rigorous as possible best advice for this since law doesnt have any a level requirements do 1 STEM subject as they are geniunely liked by unis as unis know getting an A at biology is more harder than getting an A in business for example do 1 written subject best would be english or history do 1 subject that will help you with law best advice is do politics a level or another subject you could apply in your personal statement so i had a friend who did business and spoke about commercial law

i do politics biology and eng lit and i think this is a really good combo for law you dont have to make it as difficult with the standard history politics eng lit but given your GCSES this might be better as you effectively want to make up for your GCSES

you can still apply at a good uni but u need to have evidence you are as academic enough to study law and that only comes with doing academically rigorous subjects

Heard that kcl don’t look at GCSE is that true?? x
I picked to do a level sociology psychology and French do u think it’s worth swapping some for a biology and history? x
yes i think thats good also bio is perfect sociology is a bit useless and isnt as helpful for law i would advise changing it for politics as politics covers UK government and UK politics then also global politics and since you want to do law at uni then every law student has to know about the UK Constituition so its a good a level a level history is just too hard and i know a lot of my friends who do maths fm and they struggle sm with history its not worth it

well i think you cant say a uni wont look at GCSES bc you know all of them do when u make the UCAS application and i would disagree as KCL is very competitive so they do look at GCSES
also for a majority of Ldn unis you have to sit the LNAT which is incredibly hard
best advice would be work on a levels for now and then see how u get on and then think abt unis
personally for law any russell group is good youll find the same level of teaching in york as you'd find at UCL however since your gcses are average you'll need to make the most out of your a levels and i think your options are good but a level history is A LOT and ik i said to have more academic subjects but i think politics would be better if your school doesnt do politics then i would stick with history
but now you have to be on your grind every day as please do aim for 3 A stars

So if I do biology psychology and politics that’ll be good enough?
