Whitworth Park Accommodation - Dilworth House opinions?

Hi. I'll be going into this accommodation this September and I really just want to know how people find it living in Dilworth House at Whitworth Park. Also, what's living on the first floor like.

Feel free to give the positives and negatives.

Really appreciate it.

Thanks.

I’m also going into Dilworth House in Sept, not sure how I feel about shared bathrooms (I only applied for en-suites). Hoping it will be okay 🤞

Yes, I hope it isn't too bad. I also originally applied for en-suites but it doesn't seem like they have any spaces?

I think some are single and some are small double. You might have to phone the accom office to ask.

By different number flats, do they mean like, different buildings?

the different buildings have names e.g. dilworth house, there are multiple flats in a building, and each flat shares a bathroom and kitchen (in whitworth i think it’s 7-9 students per flat)

I was just thinking, how do people know if their room has a basin? I saw some comments on another thread where they wanted to swap their accom for another (en-suite) and they said that their room has a basin. Does it say on their application or does it also require phoning up the accom office too? Tyy

I think it says in the offer - mine is a standard room, i think if it had a basin it says standard room with basin

HEYY!! I stayed in Whitworth Park last year but Garstang house - they’re all pretty much the same. When I tell you I CRIED when I got it because I really wanted en suite. BUT guys I ended up having the best year of my life. Honestly just trust the process and remember everything happens for a reason (just pray you get put with good flatmates) It’s so cheap and so close to the Uni, if I could turn back time I would seriously choose to stay here!!! It’s single beds and is very basic but you can make it cute with decorations. Also lots of the houses have been redecorated over the summer so hopefully will be a bit better 👀 I can send pics of my room/flat if you want. HOPE YOU GUYS HAVE THE BEST TIME.
