Is it possible to reapply to the same uni whilst studying a different degree at it

I had a question to ask you. If i didn't get an offer for law at manchester but i got one for a different degree i.e. politics then is it possible i can study politics at manchester and then reapply the next academic year for law at manchester. I thought of this as I have a friend who is doing pharmacy but will reapply for med next year. If this is possible, how does this process work?
It would be easier to just try and transfer internally without applying through UCAS. In either event you have no guarantee of being admitted to the other degree.

You should never start a degree you don't intend to complete. Just take a gap year and reapply if that's what you want to do.

That said bear in mind you don't need to study a law degree as your first undergraduate degree to become a solicitor or barrister and 50% of both professions studied another subject as an undergraduate. So you may as well just do politics if that's what interests you intellectually, as you'll still be able to go into the legal profession anyway.
