univ of kent 2024/2025 Parkwood flats - kemsdale court

hey guys
I am a international student who got offer to stay in park wood flats ( kemsdale court )
Just want to know how is this accommodation like since there not a lot of comment and not much ppl replying me. so just kind of worry.

Congratulations on your accommodation offer, we're so excited to have you joining the Kent family, what will you be studying?

It's totally natural to be a bit nervous about moving in, but hopefully I can give you some reassurance. Was there anything in particular you were worried about?

I personally live in Keynes so I can't tell you anything about Parkwood first hand, but from what other students have said, Parkwood is a lovely place to live. It's on a really green part of campus which gives you a lovely walk to your classes, and its super nearby Woody's Bar which has tons of events on throughout the year and does great drinks and burgers! It also has a co-op supermarket nearby so you won't have to worry about going far to buy groceries and is near the gym (you'll have a free gym membership since you are living on campus!).

In terms of the people, you should find you have a nice sense of community as many student houses in Parkwood are close together. You'll also be part of the Parkwood Residential Group, which has events organised through it across the year to help people meet new friends.

I also want to reassure you that we have a large international student community at Kent and we have many people in similar circumstances for you to meet and make friends with.

hiii im an international student as well living at parkwood flats (stock court) was wondering if we could exchange socials since it would be nice to know another international student!!

Just wanted to let you know that there are tons of international societies at Kent and an international student network, if you're comfortable, would you like to share where you are from so I can see if there's a society with people who share your background?
