low gcse grades for dentistry what should i do

Hi, i have fairly low gcse grades and am going to start sixth form. I am extremely upset about my grades as i want to apply to dentistry and still plan to. If i get a really high a level grades and a UCAT do i still have a chance of getting in or should i give up

Depends on how low your GCSEs grades are, and whether they meet the entry requirements of the dental schools

There are some dental schools that score GCSEs quite highly such as King's. I also know that Birmingham requires Biology and Chemistry at a grade 8 which you should probably avoid.
I'd also like to add that if you go the grade 5 in English Language or Maths then that may be a problem as I believe that most dental schools require a minimum of a grade 6. But other than that, if you get good predicted grades and a good UCAT score then you should have some options available to you.
