Should i get my chemistry paper remarked

Hi, I did my igcse's in May/June 2024 and i got a 7 in maths and a 9 in arabic and 6's in biology and physics but just one 5 in chemistry. I am quite confused with my marks because chemistry was the subject i found the easiest and did best in. So i scored 86 in it but the grade boundaries for a 6 are 96 and my college dont't accept you if you don't have all 6's should i get my grades remarked or is my grade too far from a 6 and how long will it take for them to come back.

It is very unlikely you will find 10 marks (raw or UMS) in a re-mark. If you have access to your scripts, see if your teacher(s) can find 10+ marks. If not, or if you are too close to the grade 5 boundary, don’t bother with a re-mark.

At A level, candidates requesting priority re-marks are informed of the outcome within 2 - 3 weeks of submitting the request if memory serves and so I would expect GCSE re-marks to take similarly long.
