How is Open Study College?

I’m looking for online courses to study A Level and recently came across this website which seems nice. Does anyone have experience studying with them?

Hi. I am also an A level private candidate however I am with learn direct. What A levels are you going to do? I would recommend going to the tutors and exams page they have lots of distance learner parternaships (I wish I did that before enrolling with learn direct).

Thanks for the advice! I’m planning on taking Biology and Chemistry as my A levels. How has your experience been with Learn Direct so far? Would you recommend it for these subjects?

I would say they are okay and affordable. But the problem is that there is barely any tutor support. I am also doing A level chem and biology. However, for my A levels I use tailored tutors to study and learn the content. What do you want to do in uni? And are you only doing 2 A levels?

Thanks for the advice! It’s good to know about the tutor support issue with Learn Direct. I’ll probably go check on the tutors. I’m actually planning to study Biochemistry at university, so I’m taking three A levels: Biology, Chemistry, and Math. I’m not taking an online course for Math because I have family member who is kind of professional in that area and can help me out.

Good luck!! I would definitely recommend tailored tutors if you ever struggle.
