GCSE History AQA

Help! I am going into year 11 and with mocks coming up, could I please get advice for revising for history? I barely scraped a 9 in the end of years and I really want to maintain that grade. Any advice on how to improve on history essays/tips with how to revise content will be welcomed. Thank you.

For History, I made/went over flashcards to memorise the content. To improve on essays, I made essay plans so I knew how many paragraphs to write for each type of question. I also made sure I answered questions fully in timed conditions to ensure I could write good answers in time.

Thank you! I will definitely be doing that, could you give some advice on how you structured your essays as sometimes I get quite low marks despite good content.

For essay structure, I watched YouTube videos on how to structure different types of questions. Then, I looked at exemplar essays so I knew that the examiners were looking for. Also, I did essay plans which helped to me practise and memorise how to structure my answers. Hope this helps :gthumb:
