Meeting for DSA (open university)

- i’m receiving this due to dyslexia.
My student finance page says “payments scheduled” however i haven’t had the meeting yet and no email to say when it is, is anyone in the same position that can help me? as i desperately need a laptop due to not having one! am worried as my first unit starts in less than a month and i have no laptop…

Have you submitted your evidence and had an email from DSA saying your evidence is accepted?

Hi,

Given the wait times at the moment it's seriously unlikely that you will receive anything before uni starts. I had to wait around 2-3 weeks for my assessment from when my evidence was approved (i chose to do an in person appointment which was quicker to get). I've had to wait a further week for the assessor to write the report, I'm now expected to have to wait up to 8 working days for the report to be quality checked. After this I will have to wait around 12 working days for student finance to approve what has been recommended for me. After this I will be able to order the equipment - I've been told by other that in worse case scenario this can take 6-8 weeks to arrive.

The reason why it says "payments scheduled" is because tuition/maintenance loan is dealt with effectively separately to DSA, so all this means is that you will receive a maintenance and/or tuition fee loan.

I assume you have already submitted evidence?
If so you just have to wait for SF to approve your evidence, you will be emailed the approval of this and then your supplier company should get in contact.
