What do you mean in terms of "better"? Better paid? More engaging? Easier? Because the finance industry is where the money is in the UK but hot damn is the subject matter extremely boring imo. Personally I'd find optometry more interesting, but equally others will love crunching numbers and more power to them. Point is, think about what your actual objectives are and go from there, there's no cookie-cutter "best" choice.

Well I currently do acc+fin at uni right now because of the opportunities and better pay but I really don't find it worthwhile pursuing a subject I don't enjoy for the rest of my life so I was seeing if there was something I would like to switch to (i know this is not easy to do) and which I find interesting(optometry) but I don't want to incur more debt for a course that I wouldn't be able to find a good job and good pay with.
So I guess I was technically asking if its worthwhile sacrificing acc+Fin for optometry. Like is it a huge downgrade and incurring too much loss for the sake of job satisfaction. or would it lead to similar or decent paying jobs .

Sorry,I don't know if this makes sense

What do you mean by 'in the UK'? Are you an international student?

No I am from the UK. What I meant is like which one would has better prospects(in terms of job opportunites) in the uk.And whether getting a degree would guarantee you a job or do you actually have to do more training or certifications after uni to be fully qualified.

That changes the equation. It s not just which has better prospects in terms of jobs in the UK, and whether the degree somewhat guarantees you a job. You need to consider which route (if any) offers a reasonable chance of a visa to work in the UK which could lead to permanent residency.
