GYG- YR11 —> GET GRADE 6-9s GCSE!! Hopefully!! ACADEMIC NUCLEAR BOMB!! #blog

Hey, im going into yr11 this September and I just wanted to make a GYG too see maybe I could change my grade from 👎 to 👍!! Hopefully that will happen!! I’m not sure if I’m excited even a little bit for yr11 cause I feel so left behind I feel so scared to go into yr11 and I regret wasting my summer. I’ll be honest I did revise a bit but I got so unfocused cause that’s a bit struggle for me FOCUSING!!! I’m gonna make this as a little blog to help me out with any advice

So this will be like my little YouTube channel until the end of summer 2025 when I get back my GCSE which I really hope turns out well be 6-9s or even all 9s but I’m not that confident I will get that!! I’m not a very fast learner.. so stay tuned to what will happen for my yr11 mocks and will I get the grades I need to get into 6form …..

I really need to get amazing grades as I want to get into med as it’s a dream but let’s just say .. my grades are very bad for that… I’ll tell you then in a bit but honestly if anyone is also going in yr11 and gets better grades then me please help me out cause honestly I need it SOOO badly I regret not taking yr10 mocks not seriously.. so help me out with any advice tips on how to revise and focus!!!!!!

My yr10 mocks —>
Maths(AQA)-3
English(edexcel)-(lit)-4
English(lang)-3
Science(AQA)(combined) - 4-3( pretty sure I’m doing higher in sep so help me out guys)
RE(exdecel B) - 2 (honestly I didn’t try so .. now I regret it)
Business(edexcel)-4(hate it so much don’t know why I picked it)
Citizenship(edexcel)- 4
History(AQA)- 4 (I don’t know what happen honestly I get such good grade in this like 7-9s )

So… I got really bad don’t know how I will get my academic comeback for yr11 mocks which is in 3months so please help I’m crying for dear life!!! So English honestly I thought I did really good until I got the mocks back•••so I’ll be honest I did revise for yr10 mocks but not as much as I was supposed to and I’m so angry with myself for doing that.

I need to prove so many people wrong about how they thought about me failing to be a surgeon!! SO IF ANYONE HAS ANY ADICE TIPS OR ANYTHING HONESTLY IDC WHAT YOU SAY JUST SAY IT CAUSE IT MIGHT MAKE A DIFFERENCE!!!

GUYS I REALLY NEED TO GET SO GOOD IM NOT JOKING.. please anyone help me out I need this so badly to the point I’m lit crying for help guys I need my yr11 mocks to be soo good like 6-9s

If you acc read this all thank you so much for reading though it and for leaving any other tips this will be a blog and I’ll will write on here how much revise I did everyday and if I need help w something else…

So stay tuned till 2025 summer when I find out what I get for gcse and follow my journey in getting what I’ve wanted for so long and if I made it!!! I do!!

also for concentration my tip is literally just pomodoro timers they are the best. also a dedicated studying playlist (unless u can't study with lyrics, play ur fave songs. very motivating!)

Hiya I can only give some advice for science and maths in general since I did different examboards but I hope this helps xx

For maths it is simply practice. If you don't understand a topic watch a video or read through an explanation, or even get someone to explain it till you understand. Then practice some basic questions on that topic and then do more complicated ones ie exam style questions. Physics and maths tutor is a good website to find such questions. Corbett maths does the daily maths questions to keep the knowledge in your head and the practice going xx

For science it's similar. First understand the content throughly, whether it be by reading, watching vids etc. Make sure to check the spec points to learn the necessary things you need. Make flashcards it needed. Active form of revision is crucial. Then attempt to practice questions ie on revisely where you can do past paper exam questions on a certain topic. When marking be harsh and make sure you get what the mark scheme wants you to write word for word.
And try word answers to be simple and straight to the point to avoid waffling xx

i just got a 6 in maths. and i struggled SO MUCH haha... my advice is to *nail* the basics, the integers, algebra, trig type stuff. know it *inside-out*

i got a 9 in english lang! (somehow lol) are you using the recommended paragraph structures? cos they are heaven-sent, *use them*! and english lang is 99% waffling. also, look for evidence then make a point out of it, instead of bending the quotes (examiners don't like us changing the truth, sadly)

for science use freesciencelessons and cognitoedu, they are the best channels.

and check the syllabus on the exam website for what you need to know, and check each topic off when you've mastered it!

Good luck on everything my year 10 mock results did shallow heavily in comparison to my actual results (mainly cuz I didn’t try 😭) so I’m absolutely certain you’ll do absolutely amazing come gcse exams 2025.
