I hate chemistry but I want to do radiography. Can I still get into a radiography?

I just finished my GCSE’s and I managed to get into Sixth form but I didn’t get the courses I wanted. I got into biology,Chemistry and economics however I really don’t like chemistry and don’t want to take it.I also really struggle with chemistry a lot. I asked to change to psychology but my school has no spaces available in psychology. If I change chemistry out for a subject like sociology do you think I’ll still be able to become a radiographer? I did get a 9 in GCSE sociology. And I got an 8-8 in combined science if it is relevant.

Ooo yeah it would be very difficult to get into pharmacy without Chem. I had a pharmacy phase too LOL but I quickly managed to get out of it once I realised I need chemistry lol.

Sorry I didn’t see lol but I chose economics as my third. I feel like my subjects are really random but there what I really want to do lol.

Hi! U can get into radiography without chem!
Some unis provide entry requirements where u can do health and social and another subject instead. Hope this helps!
GCE and VCE Advanced Level
112-120 points from three A Levels including a science subject, or equivalent T-Levels, excluding general studies. If Advanced Double Award (ADA) it must be applied science or health and social care. AS levels are not acceptable.

Drop chem if you are 100% certain that you want to study diagnostic radiography. Doing biology, sociology and economics is completely okay for a course like radiography. You only need one core science subject.

Not doing chem will not limit your options for doing radiography. Just having one science will be fine for the majority of courses. If in doubt, start checking the Entry Requirements section on uni course pages. The NHS course finder tool is a good place to find approved courses:

As others have said, most radiography courses only require one science A-Level and biology will suffice. There is of course some physics in radiography, and whilst A-level chemistry (or physics) will help with that, since chemistry is essentially applied physics, in the 1st year they know that not everyone has A-level physics, so they pitch the teaching accordingly.

Also, please, for the love of all that is holy, do NOT consider pharmacy if you don't like chemistry!!!

Whichever combination you will do the best in. Entry requirements for DR courses are around BBB with the odd one or two requiring ABB.

Radiology is a medical specialism for which you would need to study medicine. The entry requirements for med are two science A levels. If you actually mean radiography, then just having one science A level is fine.

Yup sorry i meant radiography. Does maths count as a sciency subject?
