I want to be a pharmaceutical scientist NOT a pharmacist.

I'm currently looking into pharmacology and I want to be a pharmaceutical scientist. However, I'm confused about the courses that unis provide. Can anyone please tell me the difference between the courses/degrees Bcs and Mpharm and what career prospects I have with either of these two degrees.

Choose BSc pharmacology or pharmaceutical sciences. Pharmacology is more on how the drugs we develop interacts with our body while pharmaceutical sciences will teach you everything from design formulation and basic chemistry involved

If you're also wondering about the MPharm; that will allow you to be a pharmacist so if you want to be dealing with patients and actually prescribing medications you want to take that, as you don't want to be a pharmacist the MPharm isn't going to be relevant for you
