TMUA: Is there a 15 minute break between Paper 1 and Paper 2?

Is there a 15 minute break between Paper 1 and Paper 2 when sitting tthe TMUA Test of Maths for University Admission exam for Cambridge, Warwick, Imperial etc?

Paper 1 lasts for 75 minutes, as does Paper 2. So 75 + 75 = 150 minutes in all. But the exam admissions slip from my local assessment centre gives the total time as 165 minutes.

Just wondering if the extra 15 minutes is the gap between finishing Paper 1 and starting Paper 2?

the 15 minutes is at the start, before you sit paper 1, to organise everyone, check everyone's ID etc.

No there isn't. It's literally just 5 minutes for them to hand out the papers (depending on how big your cohort of TMUA takers is. We had about 15-18 people doing the TMUA in my school so it took 5 mins for them to collect all the paper 1s and hand out the paper 2s).

That's why you should get used to sitting the two papers back to back. Don't give yourself that time to recover and take the paper 2 in 30 minutes time or 1 hour later. Just do it back to back and emulate the actual test environment.

When I did the test this year, I started doing something weird: I actually started checking if my answers are correct. I've never really done this for any exam, but I started doing it in the actual thing. Make sure you account for anything that happens (leave yourself 15 minutes in case anything weird happens).

Many thanks. Last time practised both papers with a 15 minute break between them. But going forward, will practice without any break.
