thank youuu:heart:
ofc I'll add you on my next post
Thank you for the offer but tbh I'm kinda having an existential crisis about what I actually want to do because for a long time I wanted to pursue food science but since the end of summer I'm just not sure and now I have no idea:iiam:

No hard feelings dw! :hugs: it can be hard especially when you don't know what you want to do. I still hate that existential crisis feeling as well (even more so when I was in sixth form /college, so much so I left year 12 the first time long story... )

Heyyy

Sorry for the late update it's been quite a while but I've been so busy so I couldn't give a proper update:giggle:

Homework

:groovy:finished all homework from before

I got all my homework done on thursday so I didn't have any for the weekend:woohoo:

Extra work

:groovy:did the last 3 things but still procrastinating the wider reading

wider reading

revise for chemistry and biology baselines

Other

On Friday we had a activity day which was way more fun than I was expecting it to be and I actually enjoyed myslef (even during the sports which I usually hate):headfire:

Yesterday I volunteered to help out with the 11+ so I was at school from 7-4 which was such a long day but it was mostly just some year 12s in the sixth form block playing with cards and other games for ages

today there was an event at my aunts house which was another early morning so I am actually so exhausted from this weekend

we had a lockdown drill this week which was such a vibe and weirdly fun

I will hopefully start my volunteering in a charity this week

I have talked to a few more people now and know a lot more names which is good :wavey:

94 DAYS TILL CHRISTMAS

Well Done!!!:woo::woo::woo:
Lockdown Drill? Do you go to 6th Form in the USA?
I've never had one and didn't know they did them in the UK. I had a fire drill on Wednesday.
What is activity day?

Ik we never had them in my old school but apparently all schools should have some sort of procedure if there is an intruder or smth and my sister said that she has a similar thing in her school as well. We have fire drills as well and we had one of those the week before
Activity day is basically like once a term (thrice a year) the whole school is off timetable and each year group does different activities. Sometimes it will be a school trip, sometimes it will be an enrichment activity, ours was a team building day to get to know each other more as we are year 12

We had PSHE day every half term but that was "Activity Day". All it was was PSHE. We had "Guess the Job" and "Fly to the moon" in Yr7 and that was fun.

My schools done disaster drills every term for the 5 and a bit years I’ve been there. It’s such a pain if you’re in some classrooms (this year im in a science form room so im fine) because if the desks are low we have to sit under them and people get gum in their hair eewwwwwwww

Gross 🤢. Has your school banned gum?

Yeah but kids dont really care half the time. In year 7 my form tutor said if she ever saw a kid chewing gum shed make them stay after school and have them pick all the gum off the bottoms of the tables in her classroom!

I guess that’s similar but we do completely different things each time but in my old school my year group ended up doing the same careers day like three different times lol😭

Ikkk luckily the desk I wa sunder only had one piece of gum on the edge but one of my friends said she had gum actually in her hair and it was sticky afterwards :rip:

Btw good luck with revision and your wider reading 🙂 Also what topic have you been doing first in Biology? For me it’s biochem and cells but my friend who is doing a different exam board is doing stuff on the heart.
I love your question of the day thing! Currently my favourite subject is probably biology because whilst it’s challenging with the volume of content to get used to its the subject where i feel like im learning the most (maths i know a lot of the year 12 stuff already and physics has been chill so far because its the foundations stuff)

Thank youuu
I’m doing edexcel biology and we’re doing biological molecules and cells with my two teachers (topics 1 and 2)
Ty I think it was @Tatakae L who first did it and i just sort of joined the trend. Ye I get you bc there is so much content but at least it is interesting. Although i’ve done the most in geography, I have learnt the most new content in biology

Same. 1 teacher once called SLT but the SLT member just said spit it out and the reason they banned gum is because it ends up under the desk.
Edit: Punishment should be automatic isolation

Heyyy
This is just gonna be a bit about me for those of you who are new here 🩶
I got two 9s, six 8s, three 7s and one 6 at GCSE and did maths, english language, english literature, biology, chemistry, physcis, spanish, geography, food tech, computing, RS and further maths. If anyone needs help in any of those subjects lmk and I'll try to help xx
I am going to do: Biology (AQA), Chemistry (Edexcel), Geography (Edexcel) and Maths (Edexcel) for A Levels so if anyone has any tips for these subjects please tell me. I'm so scared
I currently want to study food science at uni so I might do an EPQ as well - I'm going to see how I find 4 A Levels then decide if I want to drop one/continue/add an EPQ
I am going to a different school for sixth form (all girls grammar to an all boys grammar) which will be different and exciting and petrifying. I will try to post regularly but I'm not gonna stick to a rigid schedule bc I will 100% not follow it.
