Should I change the name of this GYG to Chronicles of a Sleep Deprived Year 13 Student? Cause that's how life is feeling right now
Still in the mundane process of UCAT prep which will be over soon at least. I've made a rough first draft of my PS but I'm planning to work on it a lot after my test.

My favourite song is probably Kangaroo by Remi Wolf atm
But with your personal statement, don't worry too much about it! But I will say one thing they do like is engaging with the subject alongside bigging yourself up

Thank you! Honestly I think I've got too much to put in my PS so I'll have to cut a lot ☹️

Yeah law is a tricky one. As in school topics or general? As I've got some general ones like research I've done into diseases etc.

Yeah no for law I'm going to talk more generally about well
The NHS
but research into diseases is a great place to start

Had my UCAT last week which went very well so happy about that, but school has just been quite tiring and hectic if I'm honest. Also on the day of the UCAT they set two tests for next week which I didn't know about until someone told me today ☹️

What score did you get? I can relate with feeling tired and a bit drained- and jt is only the 3rd week back 😅

That's ok I just wanted to check on you <3 that sucks about the 2 tests set on your UCAT - why would they do that? Good luck with those. Yr 12 is going pretty well thank you!

A 3200 Band 1, shocked but happy. Yeah how come it's only been a few weeks and I'm already needing a holiday? 😆

Honestly I don't even know haha. Definitely Cambridge for my top choice. I was initially thinking QUB or Edinburgh but I don't know if I want to travel that far. I'm more set on the ones I don't want to go to (like London unis mainly). How about you?

You should defo apply to Cambridge!! Not sure- I was considering Oxford but wondering if my 3030 B2 won't be good enough (might mark me down on B2 and other applicants getting very high UCAT score?) although I did get all A*s at GCSE. What are your thoughts on Cardiff? Maybe Bristol but I haven't been to see it yet!
I think I saw somewhere that Oxbridge don't care about SJT (best to check with someone more qualified than me lol) so I don't think the B2 would disadvantage you. Also spoke to admissions at Jesus a while back and they said they rank for interview for UCAT and GCSEs, in which you are in the top deciles for both. The preliminary UCAT results came out today and I think 9th decile is about 2980 atm, probably will go down, but that means your score is top 10% and honestly I'd be surprised if they were more selective than that.
Idk about Cardiff, I don't think so cause I kind of want to get out of Wales but I know it's a safer option for Welsh applicants so maybe I should put it as fourth? Bristol looks really good but I don't think it's my type of city
