I went to pick up my lab coat earlier but they didn't have one small enough 😞 (I will get one, just not today lol).
I also met my academic advisor and she is very nice
I did laundry for the first time today with some issues, but I survived and so did my clothes. I have massive blisters on my heels from wearing my docs on Tuesday and I will have to wear them tomorrow because they're the only smart shoes I currently own (for my job interview).

I have been living in halls for nearly a week now, and I can say that all of my flatmates are great! That is definitely a relief. I have been to a few events this week some of which were useful, others that were less so. I have a job interview later this week which is also exciting! I'm looking forward to starting lectures next week.

aww that's great to hear!! hope everything is going well

I started lectures on Monday! I am finding it really interesting at the moment and I am looking forward to going more in depth. I don't have any more lectures this week, which is also nice, so I can work alone quietly for the rest of the week.

I have done some of my readings over the past few days while I have not had lectures, but tomorrow I will be thrust back into it with a 9am seminar (wish me luck!). I'm enjoying being at university so I'm optimistic at the moment. The main task at the moment is to tidy my room because it is looking slightly disastrous.

I've finished lectures for the week, I only have a workshop left on Friday! I have to do a worksheet before then though (which I'm over half way through).

I really enjoyed my seminar on Monday, it was on microevolutionary change which is really interesting! I also had two lectures which were okay I think (I can't really remember).

In other news I think I caught freshers flu ☹️ so I'll wait and see if it leads to me getting yet another chest infection. I am very tired so that's why I don't remember much about my lectures.

Sorry for abandoning this for a while, I didn't really know what to put lol.

I met another one of my lecturers and she is lovely! I also had a lab with her yesterday and I really enjoyed it - we were doing protein electrophoresis which is very cool! I had a seminar on Thursday which was ok I guess, we were discussing a research paper that we had read (that most people had read 🙄).

I had an ethics lecture on Tuesday which was a lot of fun, because the lecturer was quite sarcastic and very enthusiastic!

I have another lab and another seminar next week which I am looking forward to.

I am really enjoying being part of my university's orchestra, I have also joined the hiking and walking society and I have joined the first aid society at a different university in the city 😁

I have finished my lectures for the week - I just have a lab and a workshop left now! I am really enjoying my lectures on genetics, but I only have one lecture left on it :frown: I am also looking at ECGs in another module which is very interesting and that it what my lab is on, on Friday.

I got my flu and covid jabs today so I imagine the next couple of days are going to be a bit rough. I think things are going fairly well though at the moment, so it shouldn't be too bad.

Today is also Restart a Heart day, which is about creating awareness for CPR and more importantly how to do it. So if you can, you should try and find somewhere to learn CPR! I had a CPR training session yesterday with a university first aid society, if you are a university student maybe have a look to see if there is a first aid society at your uni!

I am writing this in a two hour gap between lectures! I am currently eating plain buttered toast because I could not be bothered to make anything else. I had my first autism mentoring session this morning as part of my DSA, so hopefully in the long term it will be useful.

I went to a very interesting Q&A session yesterday from one of my lecturers, I didn't think I found genetics particularly interesting but apparently I was wrong. I am looking forward to doing more detail on it next term for another module. I have started biochemistry now which is definitely the aspect of biology that I find the most difficult to wrap my head around.

I want to do more updates, but I don't know what to write because I don't want to reveal everything about me.

So much for posting more, anyway.

This week has been a busy one because I've had two seminars and two workshops. I have a test next week and a problem set due, so that's what I'll be focusing on this weekend.

I am still doing first aid and orchestra if anyone cares.

I have a new special interest, so if anyone wants some facts about air ambulances, you know where to come
