No worries😂

Hello fellow travellers I have decided to change the format to suit my gyg theme - however it is still a work in progress.... So it isn't done yet 😭

Today was officially the first day of sixth form - I am so happy that I picked this school cause it is honestly suits me! I had to set up my devices and meet my tutor and form group. Although I knew no one in my form but I managed to make some friends (so I am quite pleased with myself lol).

I also had a session to meet professionals to get inspo for my EPQ, which honestly did help a lot! I met a ex teacher who now works elsewhere and she was a massive help and I am really grateful for the advice she offered me! My EPQ classes don't officially start until 2 weeks time so I still have a chance to think about it.
I have until next week to think about what enrichment I wanted to do but unfortunately I couldn't do sports due to timetable clashes so I got to find something else 😔

I had a hectic morning because of rush hour and unnecessary spike in blood pressure because of it ☠️ I think everyone did to be honest - so lesson learnt from there....

So knowing my own timetable I will definitely update a few times a week (because day is too much lol).

I finished a virtual work experience programme and other 5 week programme! I'm very impressed I managed to finish it. I'm doing another which is due at the start of November but I have plenty of time 😆

Wishing everyone a lovely rest of the week,
Tricia (yeah I don't have school tomorrow because I'm Yr 12✨)

Week 1 (Day 1) :hide:

09/09

How the day went: I had tutorial and biology today. Biology was simply getting to know each other and knowing how to access the online resources before we actuall
y dive into the content. I am having an exam screening test next week (whole year is doing it) to see if ay of us need exam arrangements 🤷🏻*♀️
So I had 3 frees which I used to try finish off biology class work, which failed, but I just finished it because nothing was working for me. I also went out to get some lunch:colondollar: My tablet at one point started typing in Arabic for no reason at all - I was so frustrated by that point and my friends were giggling😭 How did the settings change??

🌟 To do 🌟
Biology class work
All summer work completed
Piano
Wider reading/reading for pleasure
Apply for outreach programs and get tutor to do reference

Side note: Sticking with this simple layout as I can't seem to handle technology as well as I thought:hmmmm:
Also I have 4/5 lessons tomorrow followed by a piano lesson I am going to be exhausted and wiped out. Gonna have a lot of turbulence tomorrow😭
I'm going to try out flowdomoro instead of podomoro as it seems to suit me better worth a shot if you lack motivation and productiveness xx

Happy Monday fellow travellers xx

Also. Is an IPad suitable for doing my A-Level notes? as we should be getting one in the next few weeks. I use a laptop for concessions and have been bringing my own laptop in but it can't connect to school WiFi.

Don't students know they have concessions. If they have concessions do they still take the test?

I assume so? Many in my sixth form use ipads so it should be good provided it has enough storage etx

Yep thankfully - I'm not too good at this tech stuff 🥲

Of course some do but others don't due to not being officially diagnosed in some cases or whatever reason it may be. So this helps the school identify who else is needing that extra time etc honestly I thinks it's good - they are doing during form so no lesson time is lost

No clue I would assume so as it is the whole year group but no idea honestly
Week 1 (entry 2 - quick update) :hide:

14/09

How this week went(sorry for the long wait😔): Honestly, I think I have gotten used to the flow of things - now I am a week into sixth form😭 I haven't updated soley because I have been too lazily🙈 do excuse my tardiness xx But after that lesson I had in maths I am considering a tutor and signed up for a biology peer mentoring (Yr 13 mentoring Yr 12) just in case and I definitely feel like I need it. Biology so far hasn't been hard at all and nor has chemistry since we are at the basics. GCSEs basically are a huge scam in learning☠️ the amount of stuff needed to be unlearnt is unreal💔 Hopefully if I do get a tutor all goes well🙏🏻 Additionally, hopefully I get into the programs that I will sign up for. Just need to talk to my tutor🥳
This week we got to pick enrichments and I did! I got the one I wanted thankfully it was DNA barcoding 😈
I vow to be consistent next week😔🙏🏻🙏🏻

QOTW: What enrichments/clubs/socs do y'all do?
( @agent_duck343 thanks for the reminder to start these again xx )

I did Eco Committee last year but this year it is only on very occasionally so I don't think I'll go.:bawling:
