I did Eco Committee last year but this year it is only on very occasionally so I don't think I'll go.:bawling:

That's disappointing hopefully you can still enjoy even with less sessions

Week 1 (entry 2 - quick update) :hide:
14/09
How this week went(sorry for the long wait😔): Honestly, I think I have gotten used to the flow of things - now I am a week into sixth form😭 I haven't updated soley because I have been too lazily🙈 do excuse my tardiness xx But after that lesson I had in maths I am considering a tutor and signed up for a biology peer mentoring (Yr 13 mentoring Yr 12) just in case and I definitely feel like I need it. Biology so far hasn't been hard at all and nor has chemistry since we are at the basics. GCSEs basically are a huge scam in learning☠️ the amount of stuff needed to be unlearnt is unreal💔 Hopefully if I do get a tutor all goes well🙏🏻 Additionally, hopefully I get into the programs that I will sign up for. Just need to talk to my tutor🥳
This week we got to pick enrichments and I did! I got the one I wanted thankfully it was DNA barcoding 😈
I vow to be consistent next week😔🙏🏻🙏🏻
QOTW: What enrichments/clubs/socs do y'all do?
( @agent_duck343 thanks for the reminder to start these again xx )

Frr why is gcse chemistry such a scam like we have just been told to forget everything we learnt before regarding electron configuration 😭
Yw xx I haven’t signed up for anything yet but I want to be a geography prefect and maybe I’ll join a club with my friends
Ooh, I forgot to say I'll be helping with Open Evening on Thursday 26th September at my school (Lower School) but I can still help as I'm a Geography ambassador .

I did it last year and really enjoyed it. I'll also do 6th Form Open Evening and GCSE Options Evening (Sixth Formers can do this).

That's nice my sixth form asked for volunteers as well but I'm not doing it since I didn't go to any of the secondary schools they are going

How it has been so far: Pretty decent week except I have been plagued with the news of harsh reality. Meaning my school is telling us ahead of time that our UCAS grades are based off our Yr 12 may mocks and how we did as a whole off topic tests etc in Yr 12... THE PRESSURE😭 And we are getting predicated grades based of national data and our GCSEs grades - lovely. Will get that soon and tell y'all💔

To do list:
Do recap on binomials and trig ☹️
Play piano
Wider reading
Catch up on teams assignments!

Wish y'all a very productive week xx

Good luck with the predicted grades - our sixth form said that our predicted grades can only be max 1 grade higher than what we get in our end of year exams whihc is petrifying.
I can't believe there is so much pressure already 😭
good luck with your to do list xx

Yep but right now in bio and chem it feels like they are easing us in the maths I dived straight into the deep end. Doesn't help that I didn't do fm😭

Week 3 - entry 1  :hide:

How it's been so far: I haven't been consistently updating due to not having enough time last week to properly sit down and type this out. So I will dedicate certain times of the day to do so! I have pretty much settled in and gotten the hang of everything. Still wrapping my head around constant classroom changes for chemistry it confuses me so bad😔

Anyhow yesterday was my first enrichment lesson and although it was boring because we couldn't do the hands on stuff - we got to cover the basics and have expectations set which was far enough. However, I have been struggling with maths and not enjoying it so I have gotten tutoring and hopefully it will sort in self out.

My school has announced we have tests upcoming in our subjects in a few weeks time wish me luck!
Night night xx
