LNAT 2024 prep

Hi all,

I have been practising for the LNAT which I'm sitting before 15 October as I would like to apply to Oxbridge. I started practising using the Ultimate LNAT Guide and scored around 33-35 on the practice tests. I tried the free practice test on the LNAT website and scored 25. I bought the Arbitio package as I was told this package resembled the actual test and again I'm scoring around 25. Is this realistic? Do people get lower/higher scores on the actual test?

25 is so good- those who get about 25, get like 30+ on the real thing. you got this in the bag

and people who get like 21 on arbitio. get like 26-27- what is it that hekps you most? i did the lnat guide book and it doing great but then on arbitio i can barely get above 20…

I started practicing without time constrains by understanding the questions and the reasoning behind the answers with the Ultimate LNAT Guide. With Arbitio that gets tricky because you're limited but I think doing the LNAT Guide first really helped me.

Anecdotal evidence is probably not the best to go off of in this case. The LNAT is an aptitude test, meaning there’s only so much preparation you can do. The most important thing you should be doing is identifying your weaknesses and learning from past mistakes. Nobody can guarantee that they’ll achieve the score they want on the day, but you can better prepare yourself by continuing with your practice. Arbitio is designed to be significantly harder than the real test, which is probably why the average LNAT score of Arbitio users is significantly higher than the scores they average on Arbitio.

After doing a few more of the Arbitio tests, I can say that some of the answers are wrong (as with the Ultimate LNAT Guide) and this is quite frustrating. I ran these by some friends and ChatGPT 4o and the answers given by Arbitio as well as the explanations are wrong. I feel that this is making me spend more time trying to second-guess questions that would otherwise be obvious.
