University of Kent parkwood house

Anyone have any info on Thornden court in Parkwood 5bed house? Can’t see many pictures online, and since I’m moving there for my first year I wanted to know more about it🥲
Hey there,

I hope you're keeping well.

Honestly, once you've seen the insides of one of the parkwoods houses (whether online or in person), you've seen them all. They were (mostly) all built together, and as such, all follow the same basic indoor planning. I say this as an ambassador who's given house tours for many of the flats around campus, and been inside many. In fact (apart from shared facilities, vs en-suite facilities), even most rooms on campus look quite alike. The major differences between most are just the location, and then just how you choose to decorate your room.
This page for accommodation helps my point out a little, as you can see most follow the traditional comfy space, with a bed, desk, chairs, windows, and shelves, as well as a wardrobe for your clothes providing you with essentially all that you'll need whilst at uni.
As for a general look of the outside, the best I can help you with that online would be google maps, as it will briefly show the outside of some of the houses, which you can see here.

Sorry that I couldn't be of more help, but I hope this helps demonstrate what you'll be provided with. 😀

If you have any questions, please don't hesititate to ask!

Kind regards,

David 🙂

Hi! I'm not David but I can answer this.

Purchas Court and Lypeatt Court have been refurbished the most recently as far as I'm aware, so these are the houses that some aim for, but to be honest an accommodation preference isn't guaranteed, and the Parkwood accommodation is pretty similar whatever house you end up in. Hope that helps!

Let me know if you have any further questions.

Best Wishes,
Gabby
Does anyone know if room E is on the ground floor or top floor in a 5 bed house in parkwood?
i have a similar question, is room A on the ground floor of a six bed house??

Hi! would you (or anyone) by chance know the layout off a 6 bed Parkwood house? do you know if C and D get windows that face the front of the house or if E and F do? 🙂 thanks!
