thank you!!! i'm reading "The song of the cell" by Siddhartha Mukherjee and "A very short introduction to Medical Ethics" by Tony Hope and Michael Dunn atm, Mukherjee's book is longggg but he's a very engaging author and the subject is one of my fav parts of medical science so i'm liking it so far, and the medical ethics one is a pocket-book but it has so many thought experiments in it, I find myself stopping and meditating for like 30 minutes every 3 pages

Notes is what i use on the go, just typing up random stuff i think on my phone, and notion has a lot of shortcuts so it's quite convenient for formating and can process data and stats so I do quite like it over excel or calendar, having all my stuff in different places gets confusing ykwim, but word is a classic for a reason after all so still thinking about it.

Hi, your grades and scores are so good, good luck! Also, do you have any tips for scoring so high in the UCAT? Like what websites did you use, what YouTubers and videos did you watch, and what strategies?

Thank you!!! I'd recommend consistent practice, not focusing too much on the scaled scores that medify/medentry gives you but instead focusing on the raw amount of marks you get in each section as a more accurate measure of your progress, and really taking time and being thorough going through your mistakes for the UCAT. I didn't really watch any one specific channel or use one research but instead did some trial and error for what worked best for me from several different places. If you have any questions feel free to DM me, I can go into more depth if you'd like and answer specific questions.

did nothing but ferment in my own misery. i did go out with mother to the national gallery and chinatown though, which was fun, i'm not an art girlie but the paintings there were beautiful. i saw one painting of the place we went to for the school bio field trip which was so crazy, now that i think about it. also deleted genshin, locking in for real this year.

to do:

personal statement: upload to unifrog after proofreading it once more

interview practice: heard from a friend that reading scientific articles out loud is good practice for diction and helps with expressing what you have to say more clearly, will do that with some jstor articles

interview practice: watch some exemplars on youtube

some more notion clean up

bio revision: topic 4 on seneca

chem revision: prereading organics chapter in textbook

organisation: time block school free periods

officially finished my epq!!!!!!!! let's goooooooooooo so hyped it's out of my hair now, also thinking about researching some things i could do in y13 summer, methinks some extended travelling which would be super cool (dad lore and that) but need to look into it more (and my poor dad is against it because he thinks i'll die or something)

.𖥔 ݁ ˖๋࣭ ⭑🌱🌲

31/8/24
to do:

bio hw (why'd i walk into the very first lesson and this teacher scared me so bad i was holding in the tears for the rest of the period ffs, can't catch a break AND i said stupid stuff like the m in mRNA is the mitochondria, she side-eyed me so bad, i've successfully given her the worst first impressions of me ever)

bio revision: topic 1 on seneca (2 if time)

maths revision: trig questions from purple book

chem: notes, clean up my notebook

organisation: folder for my bio topic booklet

organisation: set up calendar so i can time block the time i'm at home

fill in form for remark

interview prep: look at past questions, try to answer them myself, then see solution (2-3 questions is my goal)

i'm trying so hard to not be a jobless silly girl at home, and yet i am lolol, organisation is the balm of the soul, i'm told, so here goes, a school year for the books, i hope.
