17 year old advice

My son has just completed his first year at college. He re sat his GCSEs and didn't get the maths and English grades the second time around either. He really wanted to do games design for his first year but his grades wouldn't allow it. Now entering his second year he cannot do games design as still not good enough GCSE maths grade.
Any idea on options?
Would he be able to try GCSEs again without cost? Also he has suggested doing the same media class he did last year and re sitting GCSEs again. Would this be possible? He has a meeting this week but I'm just looking for advice really.
Thanks 😁
I think i saw a similar post... did u post this on reddit?
Anyways, you/he'll need to pay for resits again (going privately), despite failing again. You could tell him "hey. Ur almost 18, almost an adult. If u wanna work for this, you'll need to 1- get a part-time job to save up to enter, 2- motivate urself, because i aint in charge of u anymore"

You might need to email college too if any specific questions.
