BCU last year criminology bachelor degree

So long story short our lecture gave us two chooses either we can do a placement or volunteer and write 2000 words about what we did or we will have to write 8000 dissertations. And obviously I choose to do placement (I hate dissertation) but I can’t find any short term placement in Birmingham so I was wondering can anyone please help me or have ideas placed that I can look it can be anything as long is related to my course (I go to Birmingham City University)
